About Stillpointe Gallery
About the artist
In her lifelong pursuit of beautiful art, Marie Walsh has been largely self taught. In the spirit of adventure Marie has been exploring different media for over 30 years. She started with pastels and acrylic but found her niche with watercolors. Fascinated by the medium, she studied with master watercolor artists such as Frank Webb and Mel Stabin, spending summers taking courses at Snow Farm in the Berkshires, with various local artists in New York City, Castle Hill in Truro, PAAM in Provincetown, Cape Cod Art Center in Barnestable. She has received various awards for her work at these galleries in addition to the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in South Yarmouth, Duxbury Art Association Gallery, Pittsfield Art League, Sheffield Art League, Housatonic Valley Art League, Concord Art Museum, Berkshire Museum, Del Bello Gallery in Toronto, etc. Lately she has been painting monotype prints on paper and 100% silk. She continues her beautiful expressions of ordinary subjects through photography. We welcome you to enjoy these images.
